Pastor RONALD & RUBIRY “RUBY” BOYER
Bio: Ronald Boyer grew up in South St. Louis City and was raised Roman Catholic. In April 1989, after several years of a rebellious journey, Ron reluctantly attended a revival in Potosi Missouri, where God got Ron’s attention. Responding by faith to Jesus Christ, God made alive Ron’s dead spirit and transformed His life, calling him from the field of law to pastoral ministry. Since Ron's conversion, he attended Bible College and Seminary where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Binistry and is currently finishing his Master of Divinity.
Ruby, was born and raised in Venezuela where she was an Assistant Principal and school teacher. In 1984, God revealed Himself to Ruby, where she by faith received Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. Ruby’s life, too, was radically transformed by the power of God. She served in her church in Venezuela teaching in their theological institute and participated in four church plants.
Ron and Ruby were married June 5, 1997. They have lead mission teams to El Salvador and have done evangelism in Venezuela. Both are fluent in Spanish. Together they founded the City of Refuge Prison Ministry at Kingshighway Baptist Church in 2005.
Two years later, Ron became the founding Senior Pastor of The King Is Coming Christian Church where he served for four years. In 2012, he was called to be Pastor of Evangelisy/Outreach at Bayless Baptist Church for a year before becoming Senior Pastor of New Life Baptist Church for three years. Ron also served on the Church Relations Committee Saint Louis Metro Baptist Association from 2014-2016. In addition to serving as Senior Pastor at New Melle Baptist Church, Ron is the Board Chairman of Brooks Bible College. He also serves as a Volunteer Chaplain for the Missouri Department of Corrections as he has for the past eight years. Come by New Melle Baptist Church and meet Pastor Ron and Ruby, and hear Ron’s unique testimony of God’s life-transforming power.
