God's Free Gift

I. God Has A Plan And Purpose For Your Life
His plan for you includes abundant and eternal life.
The Bible explains it this way.
"I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly" (John 10:10).
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16).
But there is a problem and it is not with God, it's with man.

II. You Have A Problem.
The problem is universal, no one is excluded.  The problem is sin.
The Bible explains it this way.
"For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).
"As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one" (Romans 3:10).
Because God is Holy and just, He requires a payment for man's sin.
"For the wages of sin is death" (Romans 6:23).
"For it is appointed unto man once to die, and after that the judgment" (Hebrews 9:27).
Because of our sin we all face death and judgment.

III. God Has A Provision.
Jesus Christ offered Himself up to die on the cross in man's place and for all sins.
"For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God" (1 Peter 3:18.).
"But God demonstrates his love toward us in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8).
Although the “wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 6:23).

IV. You Have A Promise From God.
That promise consists of sonship and eternal life.
"But as many as received him, to them he gave power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name” (John 1:12).
"That if thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thine heart that God has raised him from the dead, thou shall be saved" (Romans 10:9).
"For whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:13).
Friend, Jesus said: "I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believes in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believes in me shall never die.  Believest thou this" (John 11:25-26).
Friend, do you believe?  Do you know where you will spend eternity if you take your last breath today?
